RPM Welding has wish its best to Ross Varnam, who is competing at London WorldSkills 2011 next month, after it was involved in the training of the panel technician candidates.
RPM Welding were invited by Car-O-Liner’s Stuart Alexander and Karl Vella MBE to assess the skill levels of the candidates and to provide specific training on welding techniques.
Andy Morris, Director, RPM Welding, said, ‘We advised and demonstrated how to control the profile of welds through different techniques, we also explained the issues they may come across with stop/starts in corners. The excellence standards they are expecting are above and beyond any normal working practice, for example the candidates would lose marks if the gauge were to snag any weld due to poor weld profile or excessive penetration.’
